An international student with a “College Student” visa must obtain a “Permission to work outside the qualifications” at the time of entry before entering part-time job. However, it is strictly prohibited to work in business related to customs business.
The ability to find a part-time job greatly depends on your communication skills and Japanese conversation skills. If you are early, you can find a part-time job within one month after coming to Japan, but it may take six months to be adopted even if you have JLPT’s N4 level Japanese ability. The following are the main part-time jobs by Japanese language ability level.
