About admission

Admission Time

Admission to our school is April, July, October, and January four times a year, and graduation is March in each term. However, if you are a student in the January period and cannot pass the final examination, you will be extended for up to two years.

Admission Requirements

  • Have an academic background of 12 years or more from elementary school, excellent grades, and willingness to study (University College, Junior College, Normal High School)
  • Within 5 years after graduating from a school with a final education
  • The following are accepted as educational backgrounds.
    • 1. Normal high school 2. Junior college 3. University student
    • Examining distance learning, night school, self-consideration, adult education, and vocational school
    • The educational background to receive a certification report from the Chinese Ministry of Education should be determined after consultation.
  • A reliable supporter who can bear the expenses during the stay in Japan.
  • Must have a Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 4 or higher, or J-TEST (F Level or higher), Japanese NAT Examination Level 4 Pass Certificate if the Japanese language study history is 200 hours or more and the final education level is high school (12 years of education).

Selection method and entrance examination

The school will notify students of the time and place of the written and interview exams through the referral agency. Please bring the following documents with you during the interview.
  • Items to bring by the applicant
    • CV (fill in carefully with a black fountain pen or black ballpoint pen)
    • Original ID card (or a document issued by a public institution replacing it)
    • Certificate of Final academic diploma and transcript ・ All originals
    • Telephone number and detailed address of the school with the final academic background
    • In addition to the above documents, notebook and black pen
  • Documents to bring by the financial supporter
    • Original ID card (or a document issued by a public institution replacing it)
  • Expenses and parents must accompany the interview.
  • At the time of interview, pay a screening fee of 20,000 yen for successful applicants.
  • The written examination will be conducted in Japanese.

We have a complete set of documents (application for admission, resume, expense payment document) necessary for application. Please mail the documents of the applicant and the financial supporter. Expenses can be paid only by direct relatives, and documents are only valid within 3 months from the date of submission. The documents vary depending on nationality and payment method, so please be sure to contact the secretariat before applying.

  • Application form (with photos), resume (4 sheets used by the school)
  • 6 photos (3cm x 4cm, name and date of birth written on the back)
  • Original academic certificate, certification report
  • Certificate of enrollment and expected graduation if currently in school
  • Transcripts
  • Japanese Language Certificate
    • High school education: Japanese language proficiency exam level 4, NAT exam level 4, or J-Test F grade certificate
    • Junior college, university education: Japanese language study time certificate (more than 200 hours)
  • A copy of your passport (if you have a history of visiting Japan, a copy of the page with the visa and immigration stamp)
  • Copy of Personal ID
  • A copy of the family register (same as the address listed in the resume, if attached, an explanation is attached on a separate sheet)
  • Copy of passports of relatives in Japan (parents, siblings, spouses, children, etc.), a copy of both sides of the alien registration card, student copy of school destination, or certificate of employment

Financial Supporter

  • Expense reimbursement form (using our designated form)
  • Relative notarization (public document showing the relationship between the applicant and the financial supporter)
  • Financial supporter’s bank balance certificate (3 million yen or 200,000 RMB or more)
  • Certificate of incumbent’s in-service, income certificate, tax payment certificate (with income for the past 3 years)
  • Business license (if the sponsor is private business)

If the sponsor lives in Japan

  • Certificate of resident’s card or alien registration card
  • Family register
  • Deposit balance certificate (over 3 million yen)
  • Certificate of employment, income certificate (withholding slip, etc.)
  • Tax payment certificate with description of the income of the sponsor

Short-term course

Short-term courses are available for short-term transfer of one to three months, depending on the level of Japanese, in addition to three months. There are also private lessons and short-term working holiday visa courses that focus on improving Japanese language skills. Please contact us for details.

  • The payment for long-term courses is the same for each enrollment period in the first year, and the payment deadline is within one week from the date of issuance of the Certificate of Eligibility. For the second year, please pay until the above dates.
  • For the first year of the long-term course, if the Japanese embassy or consulate does not issue a visa or if you are unable to enroll due to an unexpected accident, we will refund except the selection fee and admission fee.
  • We do not refund paid tuition fees for long or short term.
  • Textbook fees are not included in the above for both long-term and short-term. Prints and booklets distribute in class are included in the supplementary material fee.

Scholarship System Description
MEXT Scholarship

1.Study incentive expenses while studying at a Japanese Language School

A privately-sponsored foreign student who is enrolled in a Japanese language school with the aim of going on to a graduate school, university, or vocational school in Japan. In contrast, the Japanese government’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology grants a scholarship.
If you have passed the on-campus screening at a Japanese language school and are recognized as a person who can receive a scholarship by the MEXT screening, you can receive it.

2. Study incentives for students after going on to higher vocational schools based on the results of the EJU

This is a scholarship system in which students who have achieved excellent grades in the Examination for Japanese University Admission are newly enrolled as regular students in Japanese university undergraduates, junior colleges, or vocational school specialized courses. The monthly payment is 48,000 yen.
* About 30 to 40 students are accepted every year from our school.
